Japanese painter YUKIO UMEHARA studied under the late IKUO HIRAYAMA and majored in Japanese painting at Tokyo University of the Arts. Since then, he has been in the painting business for over 40 years, and has received many honors such as the Japan Art Academy Award, the Award of Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, and the Prime Minister's Award. He is working hard and is making a great contribution to the development of the world of painting.

Born in 1950, just after the baby boomer generation, artist YUKIO UMEHARA is a very simple person who is naive and sincere, and naturally faces not only people but also nature, animals and plants, and always tries to treat them with love and gratitude. In addition, he goes on wandering trips mainly in Central Asia and/or South Asia, and likes a nomadic life that is not bound by time or place. Currently, he is not confined to the category of a painter, and is considering a full-fledged overseas expansion in order to get the ball rolling as an artist, YUKIO UMEHARA.
